We would like to introduce you to our specialist Coastal team, who are here to help you through the sales process with their love and knowledge of the coastline…
Gillian Greaves (Alnwick Branch Manager)
My love for the Northumberland Coast comes from the fact that you feel like you are on an extended holiday with friends and family, from having fish and chips in a beach hut in Amble, taking a boat trip to Coquet Island, visiting the Farne islands to see the seabirds and seal colony or just sharing memories and champagne on Bamburgh beach.
Embleton Bay in particular has amazing memories for me with my children and their friends, climbing up the dunes and then rolling down them giggling and screaming, having the time of their lives!
Penny Wright (Valuation Manager)
The Northumberland Coast is my ‘happy place’ as I spend many hours walking my dog Odie on the miles of these quiet and unspoilt sandy beaches. With space and time to think, I follow this up with coffee & cake and sometimes a quick dip in the sea (when the weather is warmer!).
You also can’t beat a crab sandwich at The Ship Inn at Low Newton!
Lauren Black (Sales Administrator)
Having grown up on the Northumberland Coast, summertime is always particularly special as it feels like a home staycation where I often spend evenings with my friends on the beach drinking prosecco and eating pizza!
Bamburgh has to be my favourite beach, the most iconic beach in Northumberland with the back drop of Bamburgh castle, along with a quick moules frites at The Potted Lobster
Alison Oxley (Sales Negotiator – Alnwick Office)
I moved up to the Northumberland Coast 25 years ago and would never go back to the town, it is one of the best areas to live in! Where else could you go for a walk along Alnmouth beach after a lovely lunch in the Golf Club on a Sunday?
I would recommend Low Hauxley beach as it’s great for taking long walks with the dog, which I have done many a time.
Greg McCarthy (Regional Valuer)
Although the North East beaches are magnificent in the summer, you can’t beat them in the winter with how quiet they are and my particular favourite would have to be Newton-By-The Sea
I love that we live so closer to the coast that I can take my kids to the beach, meet up with friends and family to play games on the beach, and enjoy a lovely portion of fish and chips followed by a dip in the sea. I am always happy in the winter to wrap the whole family up warm and go for a lovely long walk along the coastline!
Lizzie Beattie (Sales Negotiator – Gosforth Office)
I am lucky enough to be able to walk or cycle to Seaton Sluice as it has a beautiful sandy beach and some great traditional pubs, and the ease of access to the beach for me means that I can visit weekly.
Nothing is better than putting a good podcast on and going for a walk or a jog along the beach to blow the cobwebs away, as well as a quick dip with a coffee and cake afterwards.
Harry Young (Sales Negotiator/Valuer – rare! office)
My love for the North East Coast comes from the fact that I have always lived 20 minutes away from a beach, with the ease of being able to drive down in the morning for a quick dip to start the day off!
King Edwards has always been a favourite beach of mine, it’s a small beach but is great for swimming and chilling out with friends, and of course has Riley’s Fish Shack which has amazing food and beer… where you will find me after a swim!
Debbie Brown (Sales Negotiator- Gosforth office)
The North East Coast is so vast and there are so many good beaches to go to and places to visit for food, you can always find somewhere that isn’t too overcrowded.
When I visit the coast, normally Longsands beach which is one of my favourites, I enjoy walking my dog and taking my daughter out for fun days, as well as the occasional happy hour in Tynemouth with friends as it has a great selection of bars and restaurants!
Rory Nicholson (Trainee Valuer – Gosforth Office)
I’m lucky enough that I get to work and live on the North East Coast and sometimes it doesn’t feel like I’m working because the properties are so amazing and the scenery is stunning.
My favourite beach has to be Beadnell as I’ve been spending summers there with my family since I was a child, creating some great memories including fishing on my mate’s boat!
