Sanderson Young were delighted to be retained by purchasers who have successfully completed their acquisition of the former synagogue site near to the High Street in Gosforth.
The United Hebrew Congregation moved out of the larger synagogue some time ago and have relocated to the older Lionel Jacobson building as their new synagogue. This has created an opportunity to redevelop the old site, which is very significant in size, surrounded by tall walled boundaries and with an older two bedroom lodge cottage within the grounds.
The acquisition by Sanderson Young’s clients will no doubt attract considerable support by local residents, as it is the intention to use the site in the future for one or two private residential dwellings.
Duncan Young, Chairman of Sanderson Young, commented “I am delighted to have acquired such a prominent site within the heart of Gosforth for my clients and I know that local residents will also be very pleased with the proposed use of the site for the future.”
