At Sanderson Young we have always been keen to innovate within the estate agency industry, garnering a reputation with our clients for brand originality and pioneering ideas when it comes to property sales and marketing.
We believe the key to this is blending our staff workforce of highly experienced sales consultants, offering a wealth of knowledge of the industry, with young talent who are keen to learn and assist with creating new opportunities for diversification and growth.
Graduates have contributed to some fantastic fresh ideas within the business, through their desire and high energy at the beginning of their careers. Current graduate team members include Harry Young, Harriet Scott and Rory Nicholson, who have all injected a fantastic liveliness into the firm.
Harry has been very much born into the industry, as the son of Duncan and Alison Young. With a natural aptitude for property and a very outgoing nature, Harry is always keen to develop long-lasting client relationships and really go that extra mile to build deals. Harry is a very competent valuer and lister of properties, whilst he also enjoys meeting new clients on property viewings to establish that personal touch.
Harriet Scott also has property running through her blood, with a flair inherited from her parents for interior design and property development. As a business marketing and management graduate, Harriet brings with her a knowledge and understanding of successful negotiation, effective advertising of property and building strong client relationships. Harriet is thriving in her role as a sales consultant within our busy flagship regional office.
Rory Nicholson is quickly building a reputation in the region as a very active member of the Sanderson Young team, focusing on the listing and promotion of property. Rory is a key member of the marketing team, who is highly skilled in photography and drone/video footage. Always wishing to go beyond expectations for our customers, Rory covers the whole North East region, meeting clients listing their homes through Sanderson Young and taking them through the first stages of their home move with patience and compassion. He is particularly skilled at building up our coverage on Instagram and TikTok!
Lauren Black is one of our most experienced under 30’s, having worked within our charming Alnwick branch for 5 years. Lauren loves the versatility of her role, where she principally heads up the administration of the office, however she also enjoys meeting clients at viewings and assisting the sales team on often complex sales of holiday investment and second homes.
We are also proud to nurture young agency talent at school leaving age at Sanderson Young, and have been contributors to the Gateshead Council Learning Skills Apprenticeship Scheme for over 10 years. Many of our staff have risen through the ranks, initially beginning their estate agency careers as apprentices and growing their particular talents across a diverse range of roles.
Lee Redshaw initially joined Sanderson Young in 2020 as an apprentice in Business Administration, having previously excelled in art and design at his local sixth form. Lee is now our in-house Creative Designer and is fully trained across Adobe computer programmes. Lee brings a wealth of enthusiasm and creativity to the Sanderson Young Media department and now designs our digital and press campaigns as well as our bi-annual Collection magazine.
Our current apprentice administrator, Rebecca Blakey, has hit the ground running with her studies and has been commended by her apprentice tutor for her organisation skills and excellent coursework in her first year of study. Rebecca enjoys assisting our bustling administration department with the editing of photography, listing of properties and communication with buyers and sellers.
